Sustainable EnergySustainable EnergyIn recent years, China has suffered increasingly serious smog. This smog issue is now pushing the deepen reform of the energy strategic pattern in China. As for primary energies, the use percentage of coal is decreasing gradually, while the share of clean energies (e.g. natural gas) in the energy mix is increasing continuously. Promoting the development of clean energies and increasing the share of clean energies in China's energy mix can significantly reduce the emission of GHG (CO2, etc.), fine particles (PM2.5, etc.) and some other pollutants, which can help save energy, reduce emission and improve the environment. As a result, the development of clean energy is not only a realistic choice for energy mix optimization, but also an urgent need to strengthen the energy conservation. STC cooperated with Everbright Environment (Changzhou) Co., Ltd in the MSW plant project. Biogas was generated from the landfill leachate during the anaerobic fermentation process and was collected for further treatment. After the pre-treatment, purification, separation and decompression process, biogas was turned into safe fuel gas of second-class national standards. This project turned waste materials into wealth and enabled the maximum utilization of potential resources. Besides, the whole system was safe and environmental-friendly,leading to a win-win situation with both economic benefits and social benefits. This project was located in Changzhou MSW plant. STC was responsible for the full investment, construction, operation and management of this project in the mode of "construction + operation". International advanced membrane filtration method was adopted in this project. The maximum design daily biogas treatment capacity was 10000 Nm3, which meant a maximum qualified biogas generation capacity of 7500 Nm3/d. This project improved the MSW utilization level of the whole plant and realized the advanced utilization of wastematerials. |
